Unemployed Yet Funding My Boyfriend’s Lifestyle
I’m still with my boyfriend, working and paying for him, feeling like a victim in a one-sided relationship that takes away my money and heart.
My relationship is a bit like a room where only one light is on, and that light is mine.
I and this man have already got the experience of being together for quite a while. He is the one with a regular salary job while I have been unemployed for five months. Strange as it may be, the moment he needs some money for his personal pleasures, he approaches me. He comes for a loan from a person with no income. I am completely in the dark as to where his salary goes. He has such a barrier around his finances that I feel he does not even consider me.
He simply adores it when I visit him. I visit him expecting to be the person possessing a good feeling. But when all is said and done, he even asks me to pay for the food. I am the one who pays for the groceries, soap, and other things. I cook and clean. I do everything. And when it is time for me to go home, he does not even give me a hand with transport money.
The most annoying thing about it is that: we are all together brainstorming business ideas. Still, when it is time for money to come in, he will not put even a penny. He will just wait for me to bear the entire cost. He is aware that I am unemployed.
I am getting sick of it. It does not seem to be a relationship. I am for a 50-50 situation. But it sounds like he is the one taking the bigger part. I am the one who is always there when he needs help. But when I am in need, he is not there.
I am feeling confused and used at the moment. I am starting to wonder if I should continue in the one-sided relationship where I am the only one making an effort.
