The Power That Is Held By Dark Spiritual Force

Richard and I have been walking the path of a relationship for ten years now. He is undoubtedly a believer and generally accepted as a pure example of the old-fashioned values. His faith has never been doubted nor abandoned, and currently, he is getting ready for the role of a pastor in the church.

After some time, he let me know that it was God who was revealing the truth to him: that I was the friend he would be with for the rest of his life. I thought about him, respected, and even loved him, but my feelings were purely platonic. To me, he is a very close friend and nothing more.

Still, he is quite captivated by me. He was not uncomfortable, however! The way Richard speaks and acts keeps things from getting awkward. He makes it clear how he feels, and people who see us together often say, "That guy is crazy about you."

Since I do not have romantic feelings, I have been praying for God's direction to show me if he is really the right one for me.

I am not sure if God has answered me or is still uncovering His plan, but I have had extremely unpleasant dreams with Richard as the main character. And in these dreams, he is quite often with different women.

The women from my dreams could be mentioned in the Bible as the "perfect partner." The nature of his interactions with them is very much non-virtuous quite the opposite actually.

Both situations I went through in my dreams were so real that I had not even thought about them being possible until I saw them happen. Not long ago, I talked to Richard about those dreams.

He replied, "It's nothing but a trick," "A plot from hell! The devil wants to ruin the wonderful future God has in store for us."

Engaging in my prayerful reflections as a believer, I frequently get insights. Until now, these distressing dreams have been the only signal for me about my possible future with Richard.

Moreover, I would want to solicit opinions from other people who are spiritually inclined. Is Richard right in claiming that this is a devil's plot? Or is it possible that God is trying to tell me something really important?
