Living With My Future In-Law , Love Dilemma
I am thrilled about marrying him but at the same time I don't know if I should live with his mom or if I should have my own place while waiting to move.
Since the end of 2020, I have been dating a guy I met on campus. He was already a graduate, while I was just finishing my last year. Things were great between us for approximately two years. Then came the news that he would be going abroad to study.

We have managed to cope with the long-distance part of the relationship quite well. He is in touch with me most of the time; he calls or texts me every day or at least every other day. We are still very close to each other. He even amazed me this year by visiting me, which his family had also known about. I couldn't have been happier than to see him after being apart for such a long time.
I enjoy a great relationship with his mom, and people usually confuse her with my mother until I tell them that she is my future-mother-in-law.
He is planning to come back next year so we can tie the knot. After the marriage, we will apply for my visa to go to him, but we are not sure how long that will take.
So, here we are today. His mom and uncle's kids all live in a two-bedroom apartment.
After we get married he gave me two possibilities for my place to stay till the time he relocates, the first option being to stay with his mother and the second one to rent a single-room flat for me only.
Our talks have been heading towards the first option of living with his mom lately.
I have a wonderful relationship with her, but the idea of living together still makes me nervous. I think it would restrict my freedom. I usually have a hard time saying no to her, even when I want to, which has always been our pattern.
I am afraid that as a new wife I will need my own space to build my life without feeling like I am always being watched by someone else.
