God Gave Us Help In The Time Of Need

She said she needed urgent help. I thought the best thing is to offer and I jumped straight to, I asked how I could help and she said she needed Ksh 5,000 to help buy capsule for her dad. Whom has been sick for a while now.  I didn't have the money, so I asked her to give me a day or two so that I can fix things and probably look for them. Two days later, she came asking. I sent her the money she asked. Being generous is the best gift God gave us to help others in the time of need and darkness.

"Eiii, because I asked for Ksh 5,000 you sent exactly that?" she asked. "Couldn't you have added a little more for me to buy food with it here kindly?"

I was quiet. And then she added, "Anyway, thank you very much for this." And then she laughed. I felt like scratching my back alive. 

Now she's wondering why I don't pick up her calls any more. I thought this was the best decision I would make to avoid future disturbance and chaos.

All I had in my account that day was Ksh 14,415.35, but her dad was a good man, so I decided to help. I didn't expect her to lie prostrate and thank me, but I also didn't expect her to make me feel stupid for sharing my last with her.

We dated for four months. All was well, but once that flag of ingratitude flew in my face, I knew I had to move on before it happened the second time. I do not regret moving on.
